A cooler bag brief should describe what the bag will carry and how it will be used. A lunch bag, grocery bag and delivery bag can require different shapes, handles and internal layouts. State the approximate size and number of items, the finished bag dimensions and whether the bag must fold for storage.
Specify the outer fabric, lining and insulation preferences separately. If you already have a sample, photograph the inside, seams and opening as well as the exterior. The thickness and construction of an insulated bag should be discussed against its intended use; a photograph alone does not establish performance.
Describe the opening and carrying method. Include zipper or other closure details, handle length, any shoulder strap and any pockets or dividers. Note where extra reinforcement is needed. If the bag has a rigid base or a particular folded shape, add a sketch with measurements.
For branding, send artwork and state the print or label position, finished size and colors. Confirm whether the logo appears on one side or several surfaces. Include individual packaging, labels and carton requirements in the same quotation brief rather than leaving them until the end of the project.
Share the order quantity per design and color, destination country and target date. Ask the supplier to confirm sampling, MOQ and the production schedule for your specification. Any food-contact or market-specific requirements should be identified by the buyer and reviewed with the supplier before approval.
Use the approved sample to check dimensions, lining, closure, stitching, logo placement and packing. Keep these points in the final written specification so the bulk order can be checked against agreed details.
